Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Legal Billing Clerk for a client in Overland, MO. This is a direct hire, full-time onsite position with a legal client.
Legal Billing Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Billing Clerk. This role is essential to ensuring accurate and timely client invoicing, revenue collection, and compliance with billing guidelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with TABS3, LEDES e-billing formats, and CenterBase case management software.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit monthly invoices using TABS3 and CenterBase
Format and submit invoices according to LEDES billing standards
Review, edit, and finalize pre-bills based on attorney and client specifications
Submit invoices through third-party e-billing platforms such as CounselLink, Serengeti, and Legal-X
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, rejections, and invoice reductions
Maintain accurate billing records and update client preferences within CenterBase
Respond to billing-related inquiries from attorneys and staff
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices
Support accurate and timely time entry processes
Ensure compliance with evolving client billing guidelines and procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of legal billing experience, preferably in a law firm setting
Proficiency in TABS3, LEDES formats, and CenterBase is required
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with common e-billing platforms and client billing compliance standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion
Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred, 2+ years experience in Legal Billing
Background check required.
